Hi! How bad is iphone security?
« on: September 14, 2014, 03:16:38 pm »
I left my phone at work and it got stolen.
And then Sex tape ( the movie ) came out and as i started to google i learned some and when i started to investigate my iphone backup.
My safekeeper and password didnt seem safe at all and then i made an decrypted backup!
Two questions:
Could a smarter person then me see and actual picture from this code:
(this picture should be a "safe" picture of an elephant, otherwise return to sender ;) )

Code: [Select]
<dict>
<key>can_sync</key>
<false/>
<key>created_at</key>
<integer>4762432774805467196</integer>
<key>file_hash</key>
<string>3acbfc791c26f[font=Verdana][size=78%]a4b3be27[/size][/font][font=Verdana][/size][size=78%]1918a3737286ba27dbd</string>[/size][/font]
<key>last_modified</key>
<integer>1358939942037</integer>
<key>location</key>
<string>1704467a-9c71-4fab-1198-adbbf3d1a770</string>
<key>metadata</key>
<dict>
<key>bg-color</key>
<string>#e2c18d</string>
<key>pri-color</key>
<string>#b6ff76</string>
<key>sec-color</key>
<string>#00cc00</string>
</dict>
<key>original_file_name</key>
<string>IMG.JPG</string>
<key>to_do</key>
<string>DELETE</string>
<key>type</key>
<string>FILE</string>
<key>uuid</key>
<string>ee863dbf-1da8-49da-9af1-074613c0b6c6</string>
</dict>

And the second question:
Could someone extract my pw from this text? I Also found an plain written password of my second mail even thou I decrypted my backup.

Code: [Select]

Your questions are so weird.
1: Yes. The excerpt you gave is a data block from the backup file descriptor. Actual files are still on the phone. But I don't know what safekeeper is or how it works, so meh.
2: You don't need to go as low, however as an antique lover I highly encourage you to get a Nokia 3310 :P but also you only need an Android smartphone to be better than iShit users!

Yeah. That nokia can work as a hammer too.
However, go with Android.

Android is not much secure, not as much as it should be.
iphone is pretty leaky but depends on who you trust ;)
its not overal bad but backdoored , overal security is better but also much more restricted.

Personally I like my cheap windows phone. Who uses icons? Its all about smart-tiles!

I didnt like Apple or iPhones until now. Say goodbye to power adapters. :P
