Yep, what Kulver said is true, too.
Women seem to ask for equal rights, yet still expect 'preferential' treatment.

So much i could post on this, but im leaving soon for 3 weeks, so have to be brief.

To start with:
http://www.payscale.com/gender-lifetime-earnings-gap

this is what happens when you listen to liberals/feminists. There is generally speaking less than 10% pay difference in jobs of similar types between men and women. The issue lies in what careers men get into vs what women do. If you choose to go for that liberal arts degree because its socially acceptable, dont cry to me when your making 10$ a hour working at starbucks. You want more money? go study astrophysics, CS, etc. Especially when you consider the affirmative action policy's in the US their is LITERALLY 10's of thousands of dollars just waiting for you as a female to go study an "advanced" subject that isnt their for men. Add to this every company out their is DYING for that affirmative action hire and you will be rolling in cash in no time. But you are going to have to use your brain. which i know is scary. this isnt to say that their isnt still sexism in the US, their is. But its not half as bad as the media(and feminists) make it out to be. Also when you consider societal responsibilities (men pay for 70%+ of "dating" expenses etc) that 10% difference is fucking minuscule, when you consider the extra money we have to shell out. Not to mention the fact that ive never had a job, no matter what the job, that the women working with me were required to do the same amount/kind of work. Some do choose to do so on their own, and i truly appreciate that. But you cant tell me when im lifting everything heavy that needs to be lifted while you sit on your ass that i havent earned that 10% greater pay. Im working harder than you, so fuck off. Id really like to get into my issue with the modern feminist movement..but i dont have a few hours to put into it right now.

Note: this applies to the US, and a few other countries, many countries women are not nearly so lucky, and that really really blows.
The internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.

Ahh, EvilZone.  Where networking certification meets avian fecal matter & all is explained, for better or worse.

Feminism is a misnomer. MOST feminists today seem to preach about gender equality, but then act as though women are superior and all men are pigs. Those are not true feminists. Those are ignorant bitter women who hate men.

Real feminism is believing in *equality* between genders. Unfortunately so many self-proclaimed feminists don't know this fact. A *real* feminist believes that men and women are equal.

Also, most of the posts in this thread are incredibly racist and sexist and you fucks are the reason why women hate men.
Examples:
I have the perfect thing for feminists here in my trousers. Oh look! A wand! Just some hocus focus and there ya go

By the way, the US isn't all above that shit either. The place where my girlfriend used to work pays the male bartenders more then the female bartenders. No, the male doesn't have any special qualifications that the female doesn't. The men just get paid more. The pay gap isn't ALWAYS because the man is more qualified. That's the biggest load of generalization bullshit I've heard all month.

I love how you created your post lucid, it's so well created. Everything you said, I agree with you. People in this thread act like they oppose equality even though I would agree that at some point it could become versa, that men are in bad position.

You know what is interesting, I heard this on tv once;
"We as insert-some-race-here are being discriminated"

Funny about this is the person saying so does this already...
By effectively positioning himself inside a group other than "that other group".

Women throughout history and still are living in a man's society/economy , there is a slow shifting but this does not account for many coutries worldwide.
To strive equalilty is also kinda ridicule, women and man are built differently ,have different chemistry etc. the point is that we should treat each other with the same respect and in a fair way, being different is only a good thing, people should stop trying to say it's not.

Of course we are different, we can't be equal when it comes to body differences but we can be equal regarding to what life has to offer. I already mentioned that female doctors have less sellary for the same job. Well, that is true problem. I don't mind if a man is paid more only in cases he work more (physical jobs), but with intelectual stuff, it should be equal.

Eh, Sorry dude, I wanted to cut in about the feminism stuff, but I actually will here. Your life is about pussy.

As for the feminism shiznit, all i can say is equality != equity. The sooner people realize that, and TRUELY accept that.. the sooner we can all sit down and peacefully discuss why things like... Native American Only Universities AREN'T racist, or Women's Only Gyms AREN'T sexist. (if we assume that we strive for equity, which we should since equality is not possible, and dumb.)

And the sooner we stop bitching about the trivial issues we have in First World Countries, the sooner we can work on other countries, where discrimination is a REAL issue. Sorry to the female doctors, but that's a matter that's easy enough to solve w/o resorting to Human Rights Movements... not so much for the countries where women are still considered property.

What are you doing in your life to change that? Expect talking here about it and bitching when someone is fighting for something in life.

This is getting a little out of control. Enough with the flames.

I see what some of you are saying. Men and women should be treated "as equals", not "the same." Because they are not the same. This really shouldn't be a huge debate. Women should get treated with the same fairness and respect as men. No better no worse. That means that they should get paid the same for doing the same or equivalent work.

As an example; Of course you cannot expect a women to lift 100 lbs on a day to day basis at her job. Women and men are not the same creature. Men naturally have stronger upper bodies then women do. Does this mean men should get paid more? No. You can't pay a group of people less because they are born a certain way. It's illegal to do that to people who are born with mental disabilities. Why should it be ok to do it to people born with less muscle mass? On the other hand, more often then not, men really suck at waiting tables at restaurants, and similar jobs. That sort of work is a women's expertise. So there's things that women are better at then men and vice versa. You can't, with any kind of credibility, argue that heavy lifting type jobs are more difficult then customer service jobs. I dare you to try. I've worked in both and I'll take manual fucking labor over waiting tables at a restaurant any day. The stress involved with customer service in the food industry in particular is ridiculous. Not to mention that often times your boss is a complete asshole and verbally abusive on regular occasions. To top it off, that is the lowest paying job in the work industry that I can possibly think of, and only in certain regions of the country do people actually tip well. Also, just to cover this before anyone tries to argue this point, a table-waiting job at a restaurant doesn't get paid under minimum wage because they get tipped. Bartenders and delivery drivers get tipped, and they make more money then the waitresses.

Every single time.
