DIY hardware keylogger using Teensy

Oh hey. Just now an idea popped into my head - I have bought a teensy like a year ago and that stealer idea didn't go very far (malware part was almost done, but due to memory limitations I abandoned the project) and I thought about how else I could use it - maybe to annoy my friends by making it issue keystrokes once in a while lol.

Ofc only for PS2 keyboards however, but still pretty damn cool, because you can also connect USB keyboards using the USB->PS2 adapters (I guess?), and I thought I could build one of these just because I can

So, anyone built a thing like this before? if I'll ever do it, it won't be soon, I got tons of things to do...

Actually... I have built one of these things. Sort of.

I used a PIC microcontroller, a 1 mb eeprom chip (i believe) and some small electrical components.. resistors mostly iirc.

I ended up finding some black usb -> ps2 adaptor and installing it inside the case.

It's buried somewhere in this apartment if i can find it you can have pics lol

I suppose a teensy would be fundamentally the same thing, but I had my picit back then anyway as i was on a hardware kick

This looks very promising, but can this method be used wit ha USB connector? I don't think the USB signals are analog.

You can use adapters to connect USB peripherals to PS2 ports, so I don't see why you couldn't do the same with this.
