Slur
« on: December 30, 2014, 11:19:20 pm »
Slur is an open source, decentralized and anonymous marketplace for the selling of secret information in exchange for bitcoin. Slur is written in C and operates over the Tor network with bitcoin transactions through libbitcoin. Both buyers and sellers are fully anonymous and there are no restrictions on the data that is auctioned. There is no charge to buy or sell on the Slur

That's disturbing!!!

This is quite interesting tbh. Although they say the same data can't be uploaded twice we all know thatd be easy to bypass, nothing preventing an attacker from selling out some corporate data twice for more cash really. Just a minor issue but overall interesting concept.

What I think is gunna be hilarious IF this gets big with media presence and all is we will see a surge of people that think using bitcoin makes them completely anonymous. Gunna be hilarious watching a new way of idiots get caught simply cause feds followed the paper trail, or in this case the bitcoin trail.

I think itd be fun to get in on being an arbiter. Might find some juicy stuff and get paid for it.

Lol, I believe this is going down soon. Projects like this shouldn't be marketed so openly...

It might, cause they are a little too open about what they expect the service will do, which may count as some sort of 'giving weapons to terrorists' or potentially even get smacked with crypto export laws(I havnt checked if they are an american company or not).

They should have been more subtle about what they expect from this project with just a wink wink nudge nudge. It may work out in the end though. At least we know from their track record that if the gov tries to force them to backdoor it any they will shut down instead.
