Except freedom of speech isn't some boolean you can set at whim, it has NEVER truly existed. Anyone who believes otherwise is delusional.

The freedom OF speech is ones political ability to communicate with anyone, ANY ideas as long as the other party is willing to receive them.

Anyone who isnt mute can speak, very few have true freedom when they do so.

HTH, you can not say that freedom of speech don't exist just because someone might get killed. It is real, as long as you don't anger some narrow minded fool. Freedom of Speech is real for LGBT groups, but freedom of speech is not good if you are against religion such as Islam. It's always a risky move. So , in a sense , freedom of speech is real, but not always respected.

In my country (which just so happens to be a muslim country) people say that these mass extremist groups were hired by other people/governments/terrorist groups/whatever to make Muslims look bad. *shrugs*

I'm not saying that, but even though I'm not a muslim, I know enough about the religion to say that they're not actual muslims (as in people who actually believe in allah or shit) - in islam, you don't physically fight unless it's the last freakin' option and you have no other choice. In fact, this religion is freakishly peace-oriented, believe it or not. Killing was not called for here, obviously.

My opinion? This is kinda the same as a "Christian" going batshit insane if someone drew a lame ass comic of Jesus. In my eyes, this is no different from the time some die-hard twishit fan killed a girl because she said she was team Jacob. Some idiot thinks he's all that and everyone else is wrong, and instead of trying to proove them right, just makes himself and whatever he believes in look bad. Move along, this happens everyday.

The pieces of shit that did this are cowards. They responded to words by using bullets against men who didn't fear dying due to retaliation. By killing these men the terrorists have made them into martyrs who will continue to live on in the cartoons their deaths inspired. The sad truth is that the actions of the few will reflect against the whole Muslim community as people try to find someone to blame. I just hope that things stay peaceful in the memory of those who died.

Well if the muslim religion is promoting peace I find it does also a great job creating a great contest for extremism well I guess all religions are the same just remember the inquisition that was terrible like the same shit as nowadays but now with the media and the fact that the Muslim religion is like alone is this phase it makes it even harder for them to move on this period (Like the inquisition disappeared alone) bcz it's like part of the thing to prove this the rest of the world is wrong so this alone makes the Muslim thing really hard, now add politics and tata an infinite problem. Like all my "muslim" friends that are actually not extremist at all aren't truly muslims since they do not even know how to pray and drink beer and eat pork, whereas my friends who truly follows the religion aren't bad people but some set of ideas are really fucked up like when u talk about pork or alcohol or portraying god or anything that is making the actuality nowadays they are like still frozen. Like u can't eat pork and just accept that the guy beside you thinks it'll kill you (Literally)and u both sincerly think that is normal. Muslims can't go on saying they can be open while the differences are real like the hijab for example. It's not like it's a bad religion but when u mix it with our actual culture it is normal to see differences and extremists rising. The whole thing is really fucked up really
