Ok, maybe a background story will increase post count in here
I found these headphones when I found myself in an abandoned room at my workplace, where all the antique shit is stored for many years, big-ass film projectors with a LOTS of drums with film, big-ass slide projectors, soviet era audio mixers, all kinds of interesting shit
headphones were among all those. I can't read the maker, so I am unsure who made it, but it has a manufacturing date which is 1981 - they are 34 years old :O
Headphones have 2 separate lines for speakers and a microphone, both are DIN-5 connectors, me and my colleague went to an electronics shop and got a pair of DIN-5 sockets, 3.5mm audio jacks (mono. but turns out they support stereo
) and 1m audio cable (they don't sell less :/). Pulled up a pin-out on DIN-5 to 3.5 audio jack, connected the wires and tried it out.
To my surprise that shit worked very well
after all these years it was still playing! and good audio quality too! well, having in mind the year it was made in though lol.
Can't say the same about microphone however, it didn't work, I don't know why and I am sure I connected everything correctly.
Pictures will come later.
