Steve Jobs has resigned as chief executive of Apple.

He is to be replace by Tim Cook. The reason for him to resign is due to medical reasons. I read in another news site, not an English one, that Samsung shares went up after this news.

How do you think this will affect the mobile devices market and Apple it self, especially now that we were going to see the new IPhone 5 in October?

Personally I don't think that Apple will have a great fall in sales or anything, but many people usually say that if Steve Jobs is no longer making those presentations of new products and services the company will see it's clients go to Android and Windows Devices.

In Portugal Apple is not that famous. Very few people have IPhones and MacBooks. But I have to say I've worked in some music production projects in the pass with a few people that produced music at a professional level and all of them worked with Apple. Turns out that, for many years, Apple has been used a lot in sound engineering, further more, there is a wide variety of programs for producing, mixing, synthesizing, etc, available for Apple. Not to mention image and video, lol.

BUT, I personally don't like Apple because they brainwash people into buy all the IPhones, IPads and other products and services a little all to well, lol. I have got to say, they do it pretty well and sometimes I see people that know they don't need a new phone and certainly not an IPad, losing their heads because they see the publicity and enter in a CONSUME mode and want to BUY ALL APPLE STUFF but are not ready to expend a lot of money in those thinks. It sad but true.

Exactly.  To get an iCrap = you need special cables. To connect it = you need apple software. To use it = you need special software. Apple does Nothing but brainwash people and instead of sticking to one product, they bake shit loads of iShit, even gayer then the last one. Instead of fixing the bugs and patching vulns, they just make a new product instead which of course makes the crazy people buy a new thing and pay loads of money instead of updating the software. And macbooks are nothing more then a gayish design. They rip 3x more for their laptop which has the equal specs of, let's say, Acer or Asus computers. All you pay is for the apple logo to show off your friends - "h0lyshit I has an apple!" and the people selling MAC's are selling them with just one fact which is not entirely true - "it has no viruses!"

Don't buy apple or be for ever doomed to circle in a closed ring of Apple.

XD. I agree. You mention Acer. I have an Acer laptop I bought two and a half years ago. It cost me 400 to 500 €. For two years I have only Ubuntu installed and the machine is still fine for know and many years to come, lol.

One I read that Apple causes in it's consumers an experience similar to a religious experience, so we conclude again, Apple has a great marketing department, XD.

I hate Apple too because of their stupid hordes of trendy dumbasses that blindly buy every product that they produce. But to me, the worst thing that Apple has done is cause other computer companies to try to make their shit more like Apple (I am looking at you Microsoft). People need to know their client bases, it seems to me that too many companies are competing with Apple, and the more serious users and work places will have nowhere to go, at least until Linux becomes more widely used and accepted. On a similar note, Mozilla needs to stop trying to compete with Chrome.
