My birthday present =)
« on: January 30, 2015, 01:06:27 am »
We where initially saving for a 3d printer, but some sketchy shit has been happening at work and I've also been wanting my concealed carry permit for a while. Well, today we finally did it and I'm a proud owner now.

Springfield Armory XD.2 9mm

Also got the pocket knife, made by Gerber. We are going up on the hill tomorrow and empty a few clips.

Eventually, but we live in a very rural area, a short trip into the woods and we can shoot till we run out of ammo lol. Even where I work I can shoot and probably will this week just to pass some time.

I don't believe you lol. Besides, I'm not single so something like that could never happen in reality.

Thanks, I was going to get a 1911 cause I like the idea of a .45 but I went with the 9mm. 15 +1 round clip and it's small enough for a carry gun. I will eventually be getting more guns and will post as I get them. This is the first gun and even pistol I've owned so I'm pretty excited.

I'm sorry, am I the only one really excited for $Clone's lightsaber above his office example? (Real or not that's the first thing I noticed)

Secondly, grats on the permit and gun! When I heard gerber I know it's not but I thought of the baby food company and thus promptly thought of a rambo like baby handing out knives.

It seems nasty for a birthday present though... but it could also be much useful.
Happy Birthday!

Nice purchase bro. Deepcopy's also got an XD in .40.
If you wanted .45 ACP, you could have gone with an FNH FNX .45 Tactical. 15+1 capacity, high-profile night sights, threaded barrel, DA/SA trigger, decocker, rail, and you can add an RMR on top, too :P
It's the gun I'd get if it became available here in Pakistan. Also, it's expensive.
And it's magazines. Not clips  ;)

Can we take a moment to appreciate this reference? I love this book.
...Okay, besides that, the UK seems to have some pretty harsh laws about carrying weapons around. Idr exactly, but it *should* be possible under certain circumstances. Although I think they were weird ass circumstances my mind isn't working right now.
@OP - I spent 2 years training with a gun just to be told it's illegal to own one and not be a part of the police/military (but classes are okay?), so I really envy y'all right now. Anyways, sounds great though. :D
