Google going corrupt?
« on: August 30, 2011, 02:24:55 am »
Was doing a little bit of SEO research/thinking, then I recalled I saw google doing something odd of cnet a while back. So I did a lookup on google for download.com(which was what cnet was before or something).

And I get this result:

Why on earth does cnet get half a page on google, when for an example. Evilzone.org gets a normal slice of google.

Does cnet simply got SEO created by gods or am I missing something? I see no reason why cnet should be that big on google, it does not even state that its sponsored results.

Discussion, comments and crying is welcome.

Google works that way. When a site is fully indexed, Google shows links to its sections. For example, if you search <spam>ka0labs</spam> it also shows more links.
EZ will eventually get them.

EZ have been indexed by Google for half a year. And we do got a few under-links. But they are small, not like the image above.

It's normal, I got this problem time ago.
If google is confident that it understands the structure of a website, and the user didn't look for something specific but searched for the name of that website it can display the entire structure.

If it's not, the website gets a normal slice.
Search for "download.com freeware"
