Best USB wifi adapter?
« on: April 13, 2015, 04:28:23 am »
I was thinking about buying a usb wifi adapter for my laptop. Which one do you guys recommend? I want one that'd be good for network monitoring and injection, with decent range. Not too expensive.

I've been looking on Amazon and was considering the TP-Link TL-WN722N

but I wanted to see what you guys recommend.

I'd recommend the tplink that's the USB adapter I use. My laptop has a supported atheros so I don't use it much, had used it for my desktop and my old laptop but it's a good device. Range is kind of shitty though. In thinking about getting one of those omni directional ones though see if those give off better range

what about the "ALFA USB WiFi AWUS" series?

cheap and good. Atheros works out of the box under linux
