Kinda new and curious
« on: May 08, 2015, 06:24:22 pm »
I've been in and out of the hacking scene for about a year now and I really love it.  However I am kind of a linear learner and have resorted to books to learn the art.  The first book I read was The basics of hacking and penetration testing.  I learned the concepts and syntax of Python and JS (along with a little of Ruby and C). And I am now currently reading Hacking the art of Explotation.  Also I messed around with Kali linux and have done a basic exploit on XP SP3. So my question is am i going in the right direction? What is the best way to learn? And if you have any reasources such as books or websites please send them to me.

Welcome to the forum.  I the only hackers scenes I've seen have been only from movies. Love is not something you should mention so easily. You already been to school, you already know that it takes dedication. It not just a few parlor tricks. Whatcha gonna do boy?
