Is Android patched against DOS attacks?

I've been reading some articles lately about smartphone pentesting, but in one of them i saw an example of flooding against android 1.6 and 2.2, but then i decided to reproduce this with my phone (running android 4.1.2), but no success. I tried using hping3 and tor's hammer ([size=78%]http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/98831/[/size]), but it seems that my phone is dropping all the packets. Maybe it happens because this flaw was already patched? What do you guys think? Could I be missing something about the program usage ?

I really don't know about Android but I tried on iOS 7.1.2 which literally failed.
What I did was, I made an intense scan over my iPhone. It didn't gave me good results but it failed responding and soon when I check my device I was worthless..
No Touch working, Bad Graphics and couldn't even switch it off. Ended up restarting it and then everything was fine after a day! :/
