Arch + Openbox
« on: June 23, 2015, 09:30:29 pm »
Hello Evilmembers.

I'm new to linux. Installed Archbang few days ago. My system is ok, apps all good and still can not figure out how to install a new openbox theme. I'm copying all the nessacary files to the correct folder example: /usr/share/themes but no luck.

Regards.

Well...
You didn't give that much information, but I'll try to help you.

1. Are you sure that you were able to copy the files? (probably needs root permissions)
2. Are you sure Openbox is aware of the changes? Have you restarted it?
3. And finally: did you use a search engine for self-help?

This should be useful (and wasn't hard to find): http://openbox.org/wiki/Help:Themes

He should make that "Haskell"

I suggest you just read the openbox manual (archwiki is very good), archbang and arch are 2 different things just to be clear about that.

That's just a mostly transparent taskbar.
I suggest avant-window-navigator as a taskbar. it is slightly outdated, but has the nicest designes (esp lucido).
Tint2 is pretty common in combination with openbox, but IMO it looks ugly.

Thanx @flowjob i found it. Well there are a lot of configs for tint2 that can make it great. Lot of configs can be found at Crunchbang forum.

Ok here is a another question:

I have 3 Disks.

1: /dev/sda1

/dev/sda1 internal mounted
 on / type ext4 (rw,relatime,data=ordered)

2. /dev/sda2

/dev/sda2 internal mountable

3. /dev/sda3

DEVICE
/dev/sda3 internal mountable

/dev/sda1 = root
/dev/sda2 = swap
/dev/sda3 = unlocated

How can i change the /home of /dev/sda1 to be in /dev/sda3 on move the size of /dev/sda3 to /dev/sda1 ?

This is rather silly, 20 gig swap is nuts.
I would suggest only in this case to remove the swap, resize / to max and use the last free stuff as swap, point is you probably dont need swap.

These are things you decide at forehand and if you don't know what you are doing either follow the manual or leave it as auto/default setting.
