Advice/Experience: Dell Laptop
« on: July 11, 2015, 05:38:09 am »
So I want to buy a laptop not more than $1100, this one really picked my interest: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JXLGEE8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I am open to suggestions, also if anyone has any experience with Dell's that would be great.

Also note that for now I intended to run windows on it (bring on the hate),

I hate low specs and I need at least 256GB SSD, I'll use it mainly for general purpose, (aka: everything but games), I have my PC for computing power, I also need a small form factor/weight laptop since I travel alot and a 3Kg huge laptop won't do it for me. I do not give a fuck about touchscreen or super HD screens anything 1920*1080 and more is fine.

So basically I am asking for feedback, advice, suggestions

If you buy a dell dude i will fork bomb you. I mean this in the literal sense. i will send you a bomb, wrapped in forks and blow it and you up. That is all.

Does it need to be a i7-4510U?

Much better deal, just upgrade the memory and save some $$

There is no point in spending $1000 on a laptop, especially when next week, its value will be reduced 50%.

A lot of these new Dell laptops with Intel dual wifi/bluetooth chip-sets have major compatibility issues I have noticed.

@Darkvision,

Why?

@OE 800,

I was considering a lightweight laptop that I'll use in Uni too, the Asus seemed to be fine, I'll look uo some reviews about it, the Dell E5440 seems to be good too but the size factor may be too large, anws I look into both and thank u very much. Btw yesterday I saw the Asus at a Virgin Megastore, price: 1700$ XD
