Windows 8 developers preview

Hey friends, anyone tried windows 8 developers preview?
My internetCOnnection is too slow so i can't download it right now.
If anybody tried that then tell me some review please.

I dunno about Win8 dev prev but as I seen a teaser video of Win8, it looked fancy and fucked up... Win vista and Win7 is bullshit with the graphics, and win8 is just... ugh.

No, I like WindowsXP and I hate the above versions. I love Linux though

The Metro UI sucks when you're using a mouse. It'd be fine for a tablet but it's still ugly. If you disable the Metro UI then it's basically Windows 7. There are probably changes under the hood.

Yes. I've been tweaking Explorer to make it more like XP. I gotta learn how these DLL work

I have tired it.
I like all the new features it has, seems more stable, tested on 4-5 year old pc and works smoothly
What I don't like is the design, windows 8 is clearly made for touch screen users (you will notice once u start using it.)
you can still use it with mouse of course, but without some features.

In other words:
you have a TouchScreen PC, w8 is probably best OS
Regular PC, I'd stay with linux.

yeah, it does suck, but on the other hand, please remeber this is even pre-beta release, and not desigend to be perfect. yet. but yeah, bassically windows 7 with modifications. so far.

From my experience (don't know about anyone else) just the basic stuff you would expect from a program in dev, some problems loading certain files, weird driver issues ( although this could just be me, i have some strange stuff plugged into my comp), some stuff not displaying correctly, and the random crash. Pretty much what you would expect from Microsoft lol

Yhea, but that is the overal argument linux vs windows vs mac,   endless,    atleast, for people who just don't see that mac is for fanboys and or smoking artists,    windows is for the overall user, it is an very great system, but lacks customization features and stability.
And linux is for the hobbyist/parents with nerdy kids, it is great for hosting etc.etc.  but is not a pro for a random person using a computer on average basis.
However, ubuntu is doing a great job getting linux to the overal users,  mostly because it is compared to mac,   very easy to use, and things like the ubuntu app place are very attractive.

To tell you the truth I prefet mac to windows.Of course I had to let go of some things, but ATM this is good,'cause I am at uni and I do not want any distractions(games) that windows offers, as well as frustration!!!
I have BT3 as well on bootcamp.But that's just my opinion.
