phpmyadmin import problem

I got new hosting for my web site  and when I try to import a .sql datbase I get this error below.
What can i do to fix this
SQL query:
  DEFAULT  CHARACTER  SET latin1 COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci;

 
 MySQL said:
  #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DEFAULT CHARACTER SET latin1 COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci' at line 1
