XMBC(now known as Kodi) is software for streaming movies and TV shows from online, it aggregates a lot of sites like above, can be used on your TV etc. Really a rather well put together(free) platform.
Aside from that their are a few sites i use regularly for streaming.
http://www.primewire.ag/ --has the best/most comprehensive list of TV shows you can find on the web, generally speaking if they dont have it no one does. REALLY huge database of movies as well especially of non main stream movies.
http://www.solarmovie.ac/ --this one is your new release king, they generally have the latest and greatest cam/rip/etc DAYS before any other site. if their is something coming out or out that you REALLY want to see this is the place to do it.
http://projectfreetv.so/ --HORRID sight layout, however they have decent selection of TV shows, and kind of like solarmovie tend to have the latest TV show up a few hours before anywhere else. So when im REALLY dying for that new Agents of Shield i tend to watch it here because they get it up an hour or two before primewire.
