It is obviously a remote possibility by the science, then again so are any of the other possible answers(that we KNOW of). So interesting regardless, and perhaps amazing. time will tell.

If that is indeed a Dyson Sphere we have a 50/50 chance of getting fucked by the owners.

Dyson Sphere means that the particular civilization that built it is a rank II on the Kardashev Scale. That inherently implies that they have fully colonized their own solar system and are capable of harnessing energy directly from a star.

I don't think I have to go into detail how bad that kind of technological level might be for us as a species if these theoretical aliens wouldn't really like us that much  .

Maybe they just wouldn't  give a fuck about us and just use our star, or they may be ultra friendly(if they know the concept of it, is it universal?) and share knowledge with us.

They have had consistant and explosive growth of proof of there not being a god, it won't help.

And yes thats a long time ago, chances are , a species (if all of this is remotely true) advanced enough to have large , I mean massive objects in space, than 1500 years from there they could be capable of interstellar/galactic travel and maybe more.

I am a strong believer that an alien race had already discovered us a long time ago, maybe they are studying us and trying to figure out what kind of race are we or how long we will endure before killing ourselves.

These kinds of stories irritate me to no end. Particularly because whenever I hear a story like this I usually take the time to find the root source the information is being extracted from and it's almost never anything remotely like what the fucking articles make it out to be. All I seem to be finding on it right now is a mountain of craze-spawned articles from misleading news sites (the good ones), shitty news sites, and mostly completely worthless pseudo-news sites. But (exaggerated) from what I remember, and how it usually seems to go...

Guys Who Look for Aliens: Shit, we might as well take a look, it's the only vaguely promising lead we've got.

Depends entirely on how you look at it, the chance that we are alone is actually much smaller, these stories I agree hold no real fundament.
We are not special, if it happens here it probably happens throughout the universe.

I modified the last line of my previous post, the way I worded it was a bit confusing.

I don't disagree, it is indeed highly unlikely we're alone. I just can't stand it when people spread misinformation without taking the time to actually check the core source(s) and get the actual probability before going into a craze about situations they don't understand. Especially when the researchers themselves don't claim to understand it yet.
