Monitor Mode
« on: January 07, 2016, 11:16:59 am »
Hello, I'm trying to run monitor mode from Kali Linux. Every time I do, the process runs for about 10 minutes then freezes completley. This has happened about 20 times in a row and Ive rebooted every time.  Does anyone know why monitor mode keeps freezing or what one can do to prevent this in order to successfully crack wifi?

ls: cannot access /sys/class/ieee80211/: No such file or directory

PHY     Interface       Driver          Chipset

Thats happens on mine, cause i havent any wifi card, did you check you logs?

What's your driver? Broadcom? Possible bug with driver.

Maybe this would be a better place to look.  If you want our help you need to tell us a lot more.
Are you using a wifi dongle or an onboard wifi device.  Many devices will not operate in monitor mode
what is your chipset that is always helpful to know
how are you entering monitor mode is it on fern or are you using a comand line option
tell us something more than just my monitor isnt working

Thanks

Also are you trying to crack WPA2? You might have a hard time doing so.
Its nice to be important but always important to be nice!
