Where to get started?

I know i will most likely get bashed by making this post, but it seems that everyone here is very smart and thus i would like your guys opinion. What operating system would be the best for general hacking (for example, Ddos, dos, website security & penetration testing, network hacking, etc. )? I'm also learning C++ atm, because i'v heard that it can be useful, also, what else should i focus on to learn that may be useful? Thanks again, try to keep bashing to a minimum, i know how stupid this post is.

Just because others are calling you stupid, it doesn't make them smart(er than you). Begin with the reason you want to learn how to Hack. If your current Goal for example is to crack a Wi-Fi password, learn that, or whatever. That's what got me into hacking the first place, after years I achieved this goal, but while trying, I learned lots of things.

Maybe start with Kali it seems to be the easiest distro to play with.

And you will find thousands of tuts to follow along using kali.

First thing you need to do, is create an intro. Second thing, is to not download Kali and instead work on learning networking protocols: udp, tcp, http, ssl. Work on programming: Object Oriented, Event Oriented, Scripting Languages. Work on reverse engineering and electrical(I do not know much on this so you will just have to look it up yourself) Do not just use some skid tools without any actual framework, because you will never go far, and you will not use the tools to their full ability. I highly advise against running Kali, and instead recommend using Ubuntu or Arch. Please do not just become a fucking faggot who thinks they know everything just because they programmed  c++ to say Hello World. Actually invest time into setting up a foundation of learning before you even attempt to try to carry out an attack, or use someone else's tools.
