It's in their culture to do shit when said, and obviously they were told to scream as loud as they can... just see the formation at the start of that video...

I think its fake, but you don't know they don't know that there's anything else out there.
They aren't allowed to learn anything about the outside world so they really are forced into believing that he's all that.
