« on: January 20, 2012, 05:37:06 pm »
This was not confirmed yet but people are starting to spread a valid IP of a platform which looks like MegaUpload.
IP Address :  http://109.236.83.66/
Fake? or a come back?
You can shoot a person to stop his actions.
But you can't shoot the masses ... they have something which is bullet proof. AN IDEA.

i'm hoping it's a comeback. if they get some people to host and control it without doing the illegal things the previous owners did then it shouldn't be a problem, right?( you've probs heard of the things the owners did, if not you should google it)

The foundation of sites such as Megaupload are the illegal files,Docs&videos which are hosted & kept of their servers.
How much time is left until they will take down Rapidshare , Mediafire , fileflyer , Zippy
and much more?
think about it , even Youtube is hosting music\videos and information.

wasn't it because the owners claimed to fight the copyright infrigment on their servers but were actually supporting it? i thought they also read mails of the workers that showed that they knew about content that had copyright infrigment but let it on anyway, and i also heard something about money laundering?

They were paying users to upload illegal content without any regulation. That's why rapidshare stop their reward points program.

you are forgetting the fact that the foundations of sites such as this is the illegal files which are hosted.
points or no points
SOPA\ACTA\PIPA states that every file which has any legal copyrights and you as a user which is not part of the file(lets say its a movie , you had nothing to do with it)
its a crime.

Megaupload wasn't taken down because they "had illegal content on their servers", but rather because:
1. Some of their servers were hosting in the US and other places where DMCA take down notices must be compliant with
2. Upon receiving DMCA take down requests, staff would only delete the link to the content, instead of the actual content hosted on their servers
3. At one point they were paying people to upload illegal content to Mega Upload
4. The owners themselves were knowingly using the site to download illegal content (Which on their knowledge should of been removed by them)
EDIT: Almost forgot 5. At one point they downloaded(stole) and stored about 30% of youtube user's content on their servers.

Assuming sites like rapidshare aren't ran by dumb shady people they will continue to stay online.

That isn't even a sentence...

They spelled phishing wrong.
Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me for.
