Wireless Adapter (NetGear WG111v2)
« on: January 23, 2012, 11:35:05 pm »
Hey guys, I've done some research and supposedly the "NetGear WG 111v2" is compatible with BT5. Whenver I try to type airmon-ng I get nothing. I'm using BT5 Gnome on VMWare. I installed the driver for my real OS (Win7) and everything worked fine, how can I make VMWare pick it up or whatever? Thanks guys!

Edit: Btw here's an example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raWTxkKw4nk
at 1:43 when he plugs in his wg111v2, it says "VMWare usb device", mine doesn't say that? O_O.

AFAIK you gotta press something to use USB dongles in a system running on a VM. Also to use other interfaces, rather than the computer ones, in Linux you gotta specify the name.

To get list of interfaces, type in: ifconfig and use the one that is dongle's. It should be "wlanX" - where X is a number.
