LiveUSB loaded with BT5

So I've had my USB loaded with BT5 for a while now, one thing I've noticed is that I can't save, or make new files on it. Like for example, I'll make a random text document, save it to my root folder, when I restart and try to boot back into BT5 from my USB, it just loads windows. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or am I just not supposed to have files saved on the LiveUSB that has BT5?

a live usb is a non-persistent operation system, it is more secure because everything you do is not saved.

I have two quick questions though; if I were to make a file on the LiveUSB BT5, but then delete it before I reboot, will it still mess up the the liveusb? Also, am I able to bookmark pages on firefox?

No, your USB will be fine. Even if you don't delete the file before a reboot it won't matter, it will however not be there the next time you boot up BT5 from the stick.

Yes, you will be able to use the functions of Firefox as usual, except like I said before, any changes you make won't be there after a reboot, i.e. your bookmarks will not be saved.
