I poisoned my dads smartphone!

Or did I?
You see when I was running Cain and Abel today, and noticed that one of the hosts was my Dads Motorolla smart phone, so I did the next natural thing that came to mind, I poisoned the mofo. The question is, did I really poison it or does cain have limitations on what it can and cant hack/sniff?

The question is, do you know what poisoning is?

I assume you're talking about poisoning it's ARP table. Unless a device has in built protection to detect this type of attack, then yes, you poisoned it.

you only 'poison' packages when you enable Cain.
and poison doesn't mean anything if you don't do something with it.
Just poisoning with cain means that you can intercept his traffic (partionally).
cain spoofs the mac and stuff so you can 'read' his data.

(you can for example spoof dns on him with cain)
so when he want's to go to www.google.com he ends up at lemonparty.com
