Isn't this similar to a feature in smart phones like Galaxy Note that let's you establish an access point with your smart phone, so others can use the this access point to surf the web?

Yeah, from what I've gathered. But enough people got it and actually used it, people like me who don't have cell services and no AP's when I'm not home would be great
