Guys I believe that if we use a NIX OS as a base we should use BSD as a base or simply just use the Unix original kernel as a base.I really don't know much about UNIX so I may be saying bullshit ,if so please excuse my ignorance on the matter.
If it moves shoot it,if it runs... hack it!

BSD wouldn't be bad but it'd be much easier with Linux since there is such a large community.
The original UNIX kernel was made by AT&T and is closed-source, all the UNIX-like kernels (Linux, BSD, Mach, etc) are clones.

How about doing a XP version for now, then we can move on to something more complex later on

I agree, first a XP version, then perhaps a Windows 7 and we'll see later.
Just a little tip, don't forget to add stuff like deltree (which has been removed) if you need I can provide the file I have it on my LastXP.
Thanks for reading,

Easy way to customize Ubuntu.

https://projects.lumentica.com/projects/reconstructor/wiki

I would really look into this. You can install themes, apps, etc. and then easily create a live CD.

Way better than XP :)

Well BT5 is going to have an Ubuntu Base, so this might be a good idea. I was also going to try and make this a live CD installable copy of XP, but idk if I'll be able to. I still just don't know what We are doing with this yet.

I'm kinda against the 'Hacker OS' idea because i think linux owns windows when it comes to hacking related tasks.

If it's going to be a 'Hacker OS' then we should do it with Linux.

What kind of system are you thinking of?
Thank you :)

Like Huntondoom said, I really would love to help out in any way possible, but I wouldn't know where to start. I think that doing an XP OS (at least for a first try) would be best, since Linux has always seemed to dominate the hacking community and people look down on Windows users a lot, maybe this could be a game changer. Plus, Windows XP was the best, it really bugs me that they keep making new OS's that just have more bullshit packed into them. And like iamwhoamnot said, I would also love to do testing if this gets somewhere.

It should be Evil7 now, not evil XP. XP is more than 10 years old. Upgrade and improve.
