Replacing soft on phones
« on: June 20, 2012, 08:50:54 am »
I am new to evilzone and also new to programming world.I don't know what to write but still wanted to ask/write something here and I want to say thanks to managing community of this awesome forum.
I want to ask a question which I think no one can answer better than you people
"Can I replace/modify the operating software of mobile phone or other such devices by reprogramming it or anything like that" if it is possible then tell how can I do it.
                                                                                                          Thank you..
                                                                                                            Meer :)

Was wrong colors + wrong section + misleading title. Don't be retarded and don't do it again ffs.
Replacing software depends on the phone.

You can certainly flash the software of a device dependent on the phone. For example, if you have an Android handset look into rooting and flashing Custom ROM's on your device. You'd be flashing your phone off stock firmware to a custom build with enhanced performance and various tweaks to the operating system.

Any basic devices, non-smartphones - can generally be de-branded/unbranded dependent again on the model. This involves the process of removing all carrier restrictions and modifications and reverting the phone to a generic manufacturer firmware with no added carrier branding.

For Blackberry handsets you can install Hybrid Rom's which is modified firmware with added tweaks based on the stock software image.
