I think these are great ways to learn about things (computers for me)
Theres courses on networks, programming languages, algorithms, security, etc.

now with eDX the education will be free and you can get a degree if you complete the exams and tests check it out http://www.edxonline.org/ now think if someone gets a good job with their title a lot of people will look around this

digitaltutors.com - Game development/grapihics/3D/drawing stuff. Its not free but a its really worth it if you are interested in the topics there.

khanacadamy is also very good

agreed, khanacademy is great, but their IT section is lacking...they have a great intro-series to python, and some general computer geewhiz knowledge, but that's all they have.

Check out youtube for any of the CompTIA test-prep video series. They have a lot of great theoretical information (terms, protocols, how different things work, policies, etc) for anything from hardware/software to networking to security, but there is hardly any in-depth technical demonstrations (packet captures, how-to's, tutorials, etc).
