After a bug with my nvidia card got fixed I'm finally back to arch, and after days of configuring and trying out different programs I'm now satisfied with my setup...

It's archlinux with openbox+compton, awn as taskbar and ofc conky.

That's actually a pretty sexy interface. It's real simple, but it's sleek. Makes me want to rethink mine.

Im working on this one, not fully satisfied and a bit messy but the general idea comes forward.

Fonts are awesome but must be practical, working on it.

Oh yes, there's still much to be done. I'm trying to keep it simplistic while still looking cool and leet and shit.

Think:

I've sorta taken inspiration from that image. I also haven't edited the awesome bar at all--except for the names of the ttys or whatever, and I changed the awesome icon to a dark tux icon. To be honest editing the awesome bar seems daunting...

If you have some specific questions I might be able to help , been my only wm for over a year or so.
Indeed the fancy features can be a bit rough the first time.
For now you will be fine just editing the theme.lua.
And I hate lua :P

Totally.

Awesome sucks because Lua. Awesome is awesome because everything else. Yeah I don't really have a problem with theme.lua. But once we start talking about awful and vicious and wibox and blah blah my head starts to spin just a little bit.
