klingon programming language
« on: August 01, 2012, 02:51:45 am »
I'm not a huge Star Trek fan, but I found this really interesting. Apparently back to the before times, long long ago in the yesteryears, some one came up with a programming language based on the Klingons tongue after some uber geeks went to a Star Trek convention.

Really interesting shit.

I found it via "The Retro Computing Museum"

I never understood the reasons of learning an esoteric language that would take you lots of time to learn. Not talking about lolcode which is easy and funny, but what the fuck is the use of var'aq...?

Absolutely nothing lol. I guess if your a code monkey by trade and have a weird obsession with Star Trek why not, for teh lolz I guess.

Not code related, but I always wanted to learn to speak elvish like on Lord Of The Rings because I like the way it sounds and for the fuck of it.
