« on: August 14, 2012, 06:39:51 pm »
Hey, I am just wondering is there any basic hacks that you could use python programming for? Its been bugging me because i really got into python to improve my hacking skillz but lately all i have been making are games and complex functions...And if programming doesnt offer that many hacking features, wtf does? Do you just download tools to get the job done?? Please help!!

You know python and can make games and complex functions. That my friend is a very good step. Next step, read this
Then understand, hacking isn't...isn't....isn't what you think it is. Hacking is:
-A lifestyle
-Developing your own exploits/programs/hardware/etc.   NOT using someone else's
-Not something you can learn from a book, you have to change your whole attitude

Quote

...hacking features...

There is no such thing as a language that has hacking features, a language that creates a hacking tool is only able to do so because YOU (the programmer) are the one who develops the hack. The guys who created nmap, hackers. The people who use nmap, not necessarily so (No offense Evilzoners!!!! <3 )

So, its like this.... if you crack into systems using the same tactics everytime. You use other people's tools to do so and if the website/server/computer/network isn't vulnerable to that exploit your stuck. Your not a hacker.
If however you understand enough of how the web/server/computer/network works that by examining it you find a way in, even by using other people's tools (why reinvent the wheel after all?) not read about it a specific way inside from a tutorial, but discover it for yourself. Your a hacker.
Using hacking tools doesn't make you a hacker, using hacking tools in an inventive way to achieve your goals might make you a hacker.

In essence. No such thing as "hacking features" in a language. Think outside of the box. What do you think a hacking tool should be able to do? Then develop it. That's a righteous hack man.
Good luck and happy hacking

Want some hacking in python? here ya go
var = [tuple(j.split("\t")[1].strip("\n").split("|")[:-1]) for j in data]

Anyway, most people don't think like that, which makes me sad. This comic illustrates skiddies very nicely: http://www.welurk.com/?p=13530

Ctypes is as close to hacking your going to get with Python and with the hacking your thinking of. In the Ebook section look for a book called "Gray Hat Python".

@Kulver, the comic was epic. Oh and list comprehension for the win. I use it all the time.

damn skidiot.h when you say, "To be good you need to develop you own definition of what a hacker is..." that shit needs to be framed.  I think it is the toughest part for anybody who wants to get into hacking, but really you could change that word "hacker" into coder or, hell, even musician.
