Running a metasploit executable from outside your LAN

Lets say you create a metasploit executable and it is run by a remote computer on the internet. Will it open a session similar to how it does when the executable is run by another comp on your LAN?

It really depends on the "executable" you create.

If you have the correct ports forwarded on your router , it should.
