I know what he means! Where I am currently living, there are 3 related degrees. IT Engineering, Computer Science and Telecommunications Engineering, if you will. From what I have reference of, the IT Engineer is prepared to be a software developer, the Computer Scientist is prepared to do calculations with supercomputers, virtualization, and such, and the Telecommunications Engineers do work for phone and data carriers, ISPs, etc. Not going to disclose location, tho. But if he's in the same place I am, he for sure knows the semester is quite expensive, because it's one of the "Elite Four Universities" :-P

I think I take first place for the shittiest job here. According to the Jargon file I think, drudgery and boredom are evil.

That makes me Satan for working at this job. Fuck factory jobs. I literally perform the same motion countless times over the course of eight hours. It's the worst fucking thing I could think of doing. It's so mother fucking boring it makes me depressed the other 16 hours out of every day that I'm not working. I can't even try and distract myself with some in depth thought. It's so boring and repetitive that it numbs my brain. I just stare at what I'm doing with barely a thought in my head but "Jesus christ this fucking sucks I want to fucking kill myself." Then when I get home I'm too burnt out from doing the same exact thing over and over again all day that I can't get my brain to focus on anything worthwhile. I can't read or learn anything.

Ugh I fucking hate this. I know this sounds whiny but I have no motivation or interest in anything anymore. Humans aren't built to do jobs that fucking robots would be bored at. It's unhealthy and unnatural and fucking evil.

lucid, that is why we need to make sure that we invent and engineer high precision mobile robots that can reason out what humans are telling them to do, and do it for them in a quick and controllable manner. Once we have a few robots in every household, everything will change. The robot will do jobs for you. You will spend your days innovating, creating and exploring.

Go AI robots!!!
