lolz, karma does nothing and it means nothing... it's just there for fun. If you rage when you get -1, then you have issues.

its the anonymity that's irritating.

People keep on negative karma-ing me. I have a feeling it's the same person doing it over and over again.  >:(

The anonimity of karma has more negative sides then positives. If you could see who gave you or anyone else karma, then people would take more responsibility with it, and karma would be a better representation then it is now.
"A programmer’s greatest enemy isn’t the tools or the boss or the artists or the design or the legacy code or the third party code or the API or the OS. A programmer’s greatest enemy is getting stuck.
Therefore a crucial step to becoming a better programmer is learning how to avoid getting stuck, to recognize when you’re stuck, and to get unstuck." -Jeff Wofford

thats the way it works on most other forums. They have a 'like' or 'kudos' button and you can see who did it. This is the first one i've seen with a negative one.

What about idiots with grudges?

Nope... Anonymity is good.

Open hostility cannot be encouraged can it?
