Torrent - Anonyminity
« on: October 06, 2012, 07:34:40 am »
So I've read something about ISPs sending their consumers 'letters' for downloading copyrighted material.

What are your thoughts about this? Any counter measures when downloading a torrent?

Let's discuss what are safe, and what are not. As of today, I am using Vuze for torrents, which they say is not also safe.

a few moths ago they added a law to the isp's in sweden atleast that they HAVE to save loggs and give them out to the police when requested. this was not the case before.

I use a program called PeerBlock. Not sure how effective it really is, but I have so far avoided those lovely notices from the ISPs. I also usually don't DL the types of files they get their panties in a wad about either.

Interested in others thought about this type of program's effectiveness.
