OK, I'm sure most of you already know about this, but for those that don't, keep reading. Basically Notch (creator of Minecraft) is creating a game where you command a spaceship, standard space game, etc etc etc. What is so interesting about this game is your ship comes with a fully programmable 16 bit onboard computer, which each person can either program his own or use a premade OS built by a community or something. Now this of course is a hack forum, so imagine being able to access their computers via a protocol and taking over a ship remotely. Now I dont know about you, but innumerable ideas are starting to pop into my head about how to take advantage of this game and really taking it to its full potential.

Wow that sounds really cool, I was never really a fan of minecraft  but I think I'll check this one out. I was planning on eventually making a game like that myself. Thanks for the share!

My pleasure, and I enjoy minecraft as a game, but all the hype and people saying its the best game ever in the universe in every dimension is a bit over the top... But this looked interesting, a game that almost makes you think and work to reap rewards. I'm def keeping tabs on it as it progresses.

@Uriah:

Sure, that be cool. Im only in silver league, but my tag is on US server, protoast.343. and as far as game dev, I know a very little bit, I looked into it at one time, but im sure I could pick it up and continue if you wanted to make something.

@rest:

yea, i played minecraft a bit but there isnt much replay value unless playing with friends. This on the other hand, buffer overflows, left open protocols, giant gaping zeroday exploits in the user made OS's, etc. It's our town now :)
