My current machine:

ECS P4M800PRO-M2
Pentium 4 3.00GHz
2GB Ram
GeForce FX 5500

I think it would be reasonable for me to buy a new machine, I've been using my computer since I first learned to watch porn XD

My advice is don't spend so much. I have a PC which can run pretty much any game or 3d modelling software I know on full which cost me about £600 for all the parts (took a long time to save up though). Just spend your money wisely! There are lots of guides online to building a PC.

If you're planning on buying it not building it then fuck off.

...

...

Haha joking.

But seriously build it.

Peace

It depends on what kind of games you want to play. Can you give an example please?

When you spend as much time as most of us around here, including myself. I dont think 1300$ is a lot of a computer. Hell I got a rig for perhaps 3000$.

Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131872

Video Cards:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130744
x2

Memory (16GB):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104169

Processor (8 Core AMD):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103960

There ya go about $800

Dont get that processor, its crap. If you can afford it get a more expensive motherboard that takes 2000mHz RAM and go for that instead.
The Intel 3770K processor is pretty hard core, but a tad expensive, the 2700K is about the same in performance and just a bit cheaper. Also, the video card is a bit old. But if you get two and bridge them I guess itll do. Remeber PSU, and make sure the processor socket matches the motherboard socket :P

Pay to play games online?

Ps3 all day!

But thats a topic for a different thread maybe.

____________

Do lots and lots of research @ OP. Otherwise you might make the mistake I did and realize you could have done something a lot better/cheaper after you've built it.

Get an SSD as well as a HDD. HDD for saving files like work stuff and SSD for running big programs.

Peace
