d0x's Proof
« on: November 26, 2012, 07:38:53 pm »
i was reading a thread early on about a guy who wanted to know weather or not a hackers identity should be kept a secret, while reading the posts i noticed one post from daemon the quote is shown below

Quote
Personally its all but impossible to d0x me unless I have personally added you on FB. Go on, google me. Good luck sorting through all the trash ;)

so this set my mind on a little journy i started thinking how the hell do you make your self dox proof, what has he done to prevent him self from getting doxed

Incase somebody try's to flame my post telling me to google  ill tell you my current theory

i hought maybe he just posts random shit with his name on many diffrent sites using a bo or something that way if someone trys to dox him he can prevent because these random garbeg that he posted will come instead

also if your at D0Xing please dox me if you have spare time and tell me what information you can find about me on the web (please PM results don't post here).

You just have to use the "bad nick" only for "bad things", and a good nick/name for the good things.
Like Kulver (think it was him) said, you have to sepereate these two in virtual and real live.
E.g. se different nicks/profilepictures.

Tried d0xing a few members J4F, that's why I found them:
  • Used nick as title in pastebin-code with his real name as author
  • Used same nick for gaming account, with his real name in the profile
  • Relative posted on blog, checked his/her (the relative's) relatives  and found a IT guy
  • Liked a EZ post on facebook, matched the accounts with the same country of those who knew from the post
  • etc...

Just use a regular word as an alias and it'll be pretty cloaked. My nickname is an example, try to d0x me ;)

Ok so its simple to stay d0x proof and here's a quick guide...

1. NEVER use your real name online

2. Make up a secondary password to use as your answer recovery questions (Don't answer the question)

3. Never link your computer nickname with your real life (such as social networking)

4. I suggest never joining any social networking site. Be sure that if you have already done this, shred your identity by changing it and never letting it link back to your old nick

5. fakenamegenerator.com

6. fakenamegenerator.com

7. Don't use facebook, twitter, etc. ANY SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES; DO YOU GET IT?

8. Use IRC, and wear a condom (proxy)

Its really not hard, like kulver said I used a nick that's a common word. Daemon is both used all over, and is a somewhat common nick on forums.
The only other thing that could connect me is my email, which I use strictly for this handle and stuff associated with it.

Now I have tossed out other info about me, none of which has ever been published in any way shape or form and I'm not in any newspapers or online publications.

Even a search for my real name only shows my fb, email for fb, myspace (can't delete it?) and skype info.

Honestly I'm not worried about it, an admin who didn't know me might be able to d0x me, because tthey can see my IP. But last I heard my IP from home traces to Texas for some reason (I'm on.the west coast) and I don't even use a proxy/vpn? Lol go figure :P

As for my phone #, it also doesn't show up on any searches I've done. It tracks to my hometown (where I'm not) but doesn't reveal anything else about me.

Not trying to sound arrogant, but its hard to d0x me. Just the way it is lol, and mostly coincidence. The only thing I actively picked to hide info is my email :P

As for securing yourself, read what skidiot said and get paranoid. Very paranoid...

well i have multiple nicknames and email adresses. my first internet nickname i made when i was around 10.
i have so many different that i probibly gave away wrong info on wrong profile.
but even if you get my real name you wont find mutch about me.
my home adress is not my real adress where i live and my phone number is is not registred on me.
i havent worked for so long that not even any job have my new real adress.
i dont have facebook, twitter i have but never use it, i have doxed myself with some of the nicks, cuite boring tbh. what else... yeah i use vpn like 90% of the time and and sometimes proxy or tor. i have prepay cc's...

but it is still possible to dox me but i wont say how.
everyone makes mistakes sooner or later

This question was asked by me as I was new to EZ's and just wanted to know your opinions. Btw, this post helped me more rather than the previous.
Better know it and don't need rather than need it and don't know it

Simply choose a nick-name that is similar to something else like 'IceCream'..
Doxing someone through a google search can be extremely easy if they have a unique name. Its even possible to find previous doxes :3

If you don't have a name, people can't dox you. Don't "namefag" and use the same name everywhere and it's pretty easy to become a ghost unless you fuck up your own OPSEC (Operational Security)
