I just noticed this.
On earlier Opera versions you had a progress bar at the bottom. In newer version they removed it and firefox did a great job at fucking me up many times over when I had to upload big files by crashing just before the upload was finished and that shit is VERY annoying and frustrating.
Now you can enable this progress bar in Opera (just like the Upload progress add-on for firefox or like Chrome does) to show detailed reports when uploading once again by going to "Tools --> Appearance --> Toolbars" and selecting "Pop-up at bottom" where it says "Progress bar".
