[HELP] Format USB drive (4.0GB) in NTFS format using Windows XP

Guys anybody can help me with my problem?
I tried several times to format my USB drive in NTFS but it says "Windows Unable to Format" .


guys please help me with my problem..

1. Open CMD as administrator.
2. Type the following command:
format E: /fs:ntfs (where E is your USB drive letter).
3. Wait for a minute to finish the process.
4. Once Windows finishes the format process, close command prompt.
5. You are done!

This should have worked
If it didn't, maybe your partitions are messed up?
You could boot off a gparted disk and re-partition it and then format it NTFS
Except I don't know why you want NTFS on a 4GB flash drive, that doesn't make much sense

can you please give me the step by step on how to do that?

But if it's a 4GB flash drive how are you going to put files bigger than 4GB on there?

Use
DISKPART....

Google it... Diskpart is a command line utility..
Go to cmd>>diskpart...

If you have Windows XP bootable CD, you can run the setup and format it easily

i've already done with that but it doesnt solve my problem..

i'm referring my USB not my OS ..

yes sir... but when i type the command disk list my usb doesn't appear..

does the usb shows up in "computer"
if it doesn't, then either it is hardware problem or
the driver's...
