I found this while surfing.I think it blocks all the ads services on the net and therefore doesn't slow up the speed.

I prefer ABP (ad-block-plus) coz people around the world are updating block lists and i can hide anything with two clicks, that i don't want to see anymore....

Yes thats a fine tool however this works on a much lower level.
You could write a very simple bash script to pull those IP's and add them to the hosts file.
In fact this is a darn good plan
