About Searching in BT5
« on: March 07, 2013, 08:01:10 am »
Hey guys, I am not sure I am posting in the right place... Okay, anyway, I 've got a problem with my BT OS.
Accidentally, I delete the install icon on the desktop so how can I get it back?
It was a stupid accident and I was so dump too that I cannot figure it out.
Plus, can I install the system using the terminal?

1. Put the icons back by dropping them from the menu.
2. Yes.

I guess this works: Fire up the terminal and type: "ubiquity" without quotes. Alternatively, if you wish to have your launcher back, right click and then create new launcher or something like that. You need to point the command as sh -c "ubiquity". The old install icon might not appear in this launcher but that's how the older icon worked behind the scene. Btw, if its Live one, could not you reboot and the icon would appear there...

If you deleted the "install" icon from a LiveCD, rebooting will revert any changes you've made. If you deleted the "install" icon from a HDD/VMWare install, then I can't understand why would you want it back...
