Search Google, I think you will find many tutorials on how to do it. Here most of us AFAIK are anti-Apple.

android and linux are operating systems, devices dont have anything to do with them (except for running support). if you want to set up a linux os on your iphone you can find plenty of tuts on the web. just google it

First of all iOS is NOT linux. Far far far from it. Maemo for Nokia is as close as you can get to a mobile linux system. Android comes second. To have a full-blown linux system running you will have to dual-boot a said Maemo phone or an Android phone. iOS is made for the brainless masses and it will stay that way.

Knowing about an OS does indeed mean using it, because sometimes learning is practicing. I for myself won't bother wasting my time trying or learning about iOS, and neither should you.
