How to setup a clientless vpn on any router?
« on: April 08, 2013, 07:29:37 am »
Just wanted to know if it's possible to create a clientless vpn on a router just by changing the firmware, or do I have to have the particular cisco router?
I basically want to create a VPN or proxy without having to have a client device staying on all the time.

Let me rephrase the above. You want the router to keep a persistent connections to a proxy/external VPN ?

I'm not sure, but you might want to look into dd-wrt/openwrt/etc... That is if you have a router/AP that supports it.

Hi,

not quiet sure what you mean ??? Is it what Factionwars described? Normally (in cisco language) a clientless vpn is a vpn you can connect to without a vpn client software installed on your machine (SSL VPN for example).

hmmm... how can I say it?
Basically, I want to use it as a SSH proxy without having to setup a client to host proxy software.
