I don't think Microsoft will be using it to create a new OS. It would seem unlikely  they would do that, after they have used so many money on advertising Windows 8. I read somewhere that Windows 9 was to expect in 2015, but I don't have any clue what that version is going to include. My best guess would be, that they will use it to create cloud based applications for some of their services such as Skydrive etc.
You haven't heard of Midori then.

Well, it's actually not conjecture. Microsoft is planning on discontinuing Windows at some point in favor of this new operating system. Midori. Not sure when this will happen, nor do I care.

This looks like a browser of some sort. Hven't looked at thir code but this ain't in relation to the Midori of Microsoft.
