[help] screen keeps flashing black
« on: July 03, 2011, 01:37:46 pm »
every once in a while something triggers something in my computer
that enable a flashing of my screen every 30 or so
my screen will go dark for a second and then returns to normal :S
its quit annoying!
and if I shut my computer off it will be restored
until something triggers it again but it can be a minute or a couple hours / a day before it happens again

na it isn't temperature related or wired related, it happens randomly at every temperature

Have you tried re-installing the drivers? or installing other drivers? because when you are installing video drivers, the screen flashes off-on one or few times. So this might be the driver problem.

Like kulverstukas said, check your drivers. Also, if you use any custom OS skins or hardcore graphics, that might cause things like that. Consider turning things down a notch.

try full reinstall,  try getting out some ram's (if you have multiple, and switch them).
Maybe try to install another graphic card,   update drivers, read error log. google it + your setup.

Easy solution :)

Just try your friends SMPS (i am sure you know about that)
or try using your friends RAM.

just do as i said. its 100% not graphics card releted or driver releted.

do as i said and problem will be solved. ;D

Its not that you have checked in to your SMPS.

some times it happens that SMPS can't provide full voltege to motherboard.

and i am saying that remove your pc ram and try other one.

so try to change SMPS and RAM.

if problem will not be solved by that (and if you checked cables currectly) then i bet you that you have to change your MOTHERBOARD. :'(

So hurry up and do as i say before it effect your motherboard.

i know because i ran computer hardware business for 2 years.  i know many things about hardware. :)
