Hello EZ!

I know a lot of you are starting to doubt the Alpha project, and I cant blame you. I dont spend nearly as much time as I would like on it, mostly because I dont have any. But rest assured it will be completed some day.

To keep the spirits up somewhat I have uploaded the latest dev version of Alpha to http://alpha.evilzone.org.

Unfortunelty I dont have a change log since last upload. It is simply too long since I last worked on it more than an hour to remember what has been done.

Feedback and all of that is welcome. As always, try it out, break stuff and report back.

As long as I don't know what exactly is new and what is not I won't be able to tell you exactly what I think about it. But that's just my drunk mind speaking right now. Good to see you guys are making progress, keep up the good work, I know it's not easy to find time to work on "free stuff" since people who actually have rl shit to do are busy enough.

Thats on purpose for people who want to use our image. Easier for them to copy-paste that.

The logo looks better, in my opinion. It's much more earthy.

I just got an idea. in the, 'Show your unread threads' link can we add an indicator that the user has been specifically tagged and/or quoted in whatever thread they participated.

Not really. Say someone has written a huge block of text in a discussion. It doesn't really look that good, quoting it Tagging is cleaner. i.e. @Kulverstukas

Either use TapTalk or help ande build a mobile version. ande is busy enough building the main site.

that's the beauty of a responsive design, it's saves us from the grunt work of designing two separate sites. I'd be happy to convert the alpha source to a responsive design. I have nothing better to do anyways. I can save it locally but will inevitably lose some functionality that way, anyway I can get my hands on the source files to fool around with?

I do second the mobile mind set, but isn't that what RSS is for? When mobile, RSS gives me content how about API for content eh, TapTalk and oter shit gives me DL to the PlayStore and shit. Why not keep it the way it is? On mobile this site is just fine, no FaceBook crap or even shit ads to load. Why ruine a good thing? KISS, or did that die with the Author of the Cathedril and the Bazzar?  This is a board for content and info y u no web bro?

I think you have old images in cache. Its not supposed to be that dark.

EDIT: Also note that this may not be the final logo. I just liked this better than the red/gray/white one. This seems to blend in better, while the previous one was popping out too much.

I propose a logo making competition with a basic PSD uploaded to work on, like in the EvilZine project, and add a poll to decide which logo is best. It's the easiest way of finding what the community prefers.
