Website logo and layout idea...

Hey guys. You may have seen an earlier post by me, where I was asking for help on my new website idea. Well, if anyone would like to join, you still may. Right now, our team is me, Zesh, and Gr33n.
Anyway, the first part of our plan was to create separate themes/logos for the website independently, then share and choose. This is my contribution to that area of the project. We thought it may be helpful to post on Evilzone first, because we would like some feed back. Zesh should be making a similar post soon enough...
Ok, so, I am not much of an artist, and know nothing of GIMP or web design, but I still gave it a shot. The proposed template is by me, but the logo was my idea drawn by a good friend.
The final logo drawing will most likely look like phoenix 2A. This is just a rough draft.
Feedback so far: Two circles below phoenix don't look like the infinity symbol, and they are too small. Phoenix 3's wings are too rounded.

like the idea of the phenix, the the two burning balls in the bottom i dont like, maybe to big or should not be there at all, donno
and ether way it can end up however because in my opinion you need to work more on the first draft, like size, colors, text, effects ect ect without that you cant really make an oppinion

the bottom "layout" is that for the page?
ether way its a no no imo

Thank you very much Relax. Yeah the balls at the feet of the phoenix are supposed to be the infinity symbol lol. On the next draft, I'll have my friend make that more clear. It is also just a pencil draft, there will of course be more "effects" once the digitalized logo in GIMP is created. There will be some text as well, and etc.
As far as the web layout, lol, I had thought so. I'm am so new to GIMP. I'm proud of myself for the effort though, but the layout will probably be left in the hands of Zesh. At least I contributed the logo... I will post a newer draft soon.

when i dont have any ideas for a layout for a webpage (and i almost never have)
ill browse template sites look at templates, until a have 5-15 witch have something i like
it can be small things like image layout, menus, colors, footer, backgroud, font type ect ect
then ill take small pieces from all of them and build me own

Great idea, I'll try that out. I'll also change the logo and show you guys around tomorrow.

Here's some updates on the logo, guys. Please tell me what you think and give more feed back. I tried to take what was said into consideration.
The idea is a cross of the immortality of the phoenix and the infinity symbol.

Remember that it is just a paper sketch, the digital version will look much cleaner.
Enjoy! (Number 6 is the latest... I'm thinking of going with that one.)

I don't really know anything about web or graphic design. And I really like the way it looks so I don't know what I could suggest.

With that purpose in mind I think it's an appropriate emblem.

Double post is for update. A pretty big one. Tell me what you guys think, do you like the grain extract or multiply pic more? Or do you hate both
I know I suck at GIMP, I'm a first time user, but I did my best and I'm proud of it. Tried to add i some color... all suggestions and criticisms are welcomed.
