As a general rule of thumb I believe the main thing that pulls a community together, or destroys it, is the members themselves.  I'm really hoping to contribute more though, I have a bit of free time coming up next month and will be working on a project in C# to launch early next year.  So who knows, maybe I can learn from the community here, maybe they can learn from me.  In either event, the main focus for me is learning.

I respect the decision.  I did enjoy the resource, and I must confess as well that I typically didn't want to ask some question that might seem inane, so my low post count is primarily due to this.

I work a lot during the day in a non-tech area, so I have less time to hone my hobbyist skills, but do try and stay current.  I am writing some interesting network scanning python scripts and making progress. I wish there were more hours in the day.

In any event, I will put my best efforts toward being more active in threads and contribute anything I feel could be useful!! :)

A

I should probably start posting better content. Most of my shit has nothing to do with hacking or security at all. Sorry about that. I love this community, and I hate being part of the problem. :-\

Sweet mother of christmas there are a lot of leeches. Maybe you should remove users if they don't post or comment frequently enough.

No. That does not seem that fair. They should just have to get a number of posts past a certain amount. Also they maybe should have to be approved. Though I have not seen you much white_noise, so your a leecher in my eyes. So maybe you should get removed.  ???

Uhh,
some people don't post unless they have something helpful,
interesting,
or useful to say....
Which means for some people they won't post often unless there is a perfect aligning of the planets....
You should actually learn from them considering all your posts that really aren't helpful or asked for. :/

But you are kind of right,
there are a lot of leechers.

Though I have not seen you much white_noise, so your a leecher in my eyes. So maybe you should get removed.  ???

I agree with truecam.
If you're going to propose such worthless ideas I think you should be held to the same standard.

I'm also new on the forum and I only post when I have something to add on that specific topic. I'm a regular visitor and read a lot of topics, but I don't have the need to spam the forum with irrational remarks.
I can be irrational in the boards that allow this, but in the other boards I shut up and speak when I may be be able to add something interesting or ask something.

Please, don't see this post as "he wants to say something"  ;)

It's a good idea to encourage people to make good posts before they get access to the books.

I've had fun posting so far.

Maybe accounts should be review before they are given access to certain boards. Maybe they should have to pass a harder test to create an account. There are many options you guys can take, but system is not okay in the state it is now.  I do not feel like this community will survive if we allow quantity to take over quality. So in short, What action is going to be taken?

No drastic action needs to be taken.

Poor or random posts are dealt with or not counted.
